Hi, I’m Mirja.
Horses have been at the center of my life for nearly four decades—not just through riding and training, but through the day-to-day care, observation, problem-solving, and relationships that shape their well-being.
That experience is the foundation of Elite Equine Care & Management.
I believe exceptional horse care starts with knowing the horse in front of you—their routines, personalities, histories, physical needs, and the subtle changes that can tell you when something isn’t quite right. Every horse is different, and good horsemanship means paying attention to the whole picture: physical, mental, and emotional.
Today, EECM brings that approach to everything from daily care and training to specialized health and rehabilitation support, veterinary coordination, ranch coverage, and professional barn management. Sometimes that means quietly maintaining a program that already works beautifully. Other times, it means stepping in with greater structure, consistency, observation, and support.
And because truly reliable care can’t depend on just one person, I’ve built EECM around a trusted team of skilled, compassionate horse people who share the same standards. That allows us to provide dependable continuity for horses, owners, and barns without sacrificing the individual attention that matters so much.
I understand how much trust it takes to put your horse in someone else’s hands. Our goal is simple: to give you confidence that the people caring for your horse know them, notice them, communicate with you, and care deeply about getting it right.
Because horses thrive when the people around them do, too.
Trusted, Reliable, and Experienced Care for Your Horses
How We Can Help
-

Training and Horsepersonship
Thoughtful, individualized support for horses and riders at every stage. Services may include training rides, groundwork, exercise, restarting, confidence building, problem-solving, conditioning, lessons, and ongoing program support.
Our approach prioritizes clear communication, consistency, and understanding the physical, mental, and emotional needs of the individual horse.
-

Daily Horse Care
Reliable help with the everyday work that keeps horses healthy, comfortable, and happy.
From feeding, turnout, blanketing, watering, stall checks, and routine care to simply making sure everything is exactly as it should be, we can supplement your existing program or take responsibility for regular daily care.
-

Specialized Health & Rehabilitation Support
For horses recovering from injury, managing chronic conditions, aging, or requiring more careful day-to-day observation, EECM provides experienced hands-on support alongside your veterinary and professional care team.
Services may include rehabilitation exercises, hand walking, controlled turnout, monitoring, wound and aftercare support, veterinary coordination, appointment assistance, and implementation of veterinarian-directed care plans.
-

Feed, Supplements & Medications
When a horse’s routine becomes more complicated, consistency matters.
We can prepare individualized feeds, administer medications and supplements, follow veterinary instructions, manage treatment schedules, monitor changes, and help ensure that care plans are carried out accurately and consistently.
We also work closely with owners, veterinarians, nutrition professionals, and barn teams when a horse requires additional oversight.
-

Grooming, Body Care & Enrichment
Sometimes a horse needs more than the basics.
We provide grooming, bathing, clipping, mane and tail care, tack cleaning, hand grazing, stretching, simple body-care routines, enrichment, and the extra one-on-one attention that contributes to both physical comfort and emotional well-being.
This can be particularly valuable for seniors, horses in limited work, horses on rehabilitation programs, or simply owners who want their horses to receive a little extra care.
-

Barn Cleaning, Mucking & Maintenance
Yes—we do the barn work, too.
EECM can assist with mucking stalls, bedding, sweeping, water buckets and troughs, feed-room organization, tack-room upkeep, paddock care, and the everyday jobs that keep a barn clean, safe, and functioning well.
Whether you need regular help, temporary coverage, or an extra set of hands during a particularly busy period, we can step in.
-

Barn & Program Management
Description goes hFor barns and horse owners who need more than individual services, EECM can oversee the broader operation.
Support may include staffing and scheduling, care standards, feed and supply management, veterinary and farrier coordination, vendor communication, client communication, administrative systems, billing support, emergency planning, and day-to-day operational oversight.
Fractional barn and program management is also available for facilities that need professional leadership and structure without the expense or commitment of a full-time manager.ere
-

Ranch Sitting, Travel & Temporary Coverage
Leaving horses behind can be stressful—especially when their routines are complicated or there are multiple animals and property responsibilities involved.
We provide ranch sitting, horse and pet care, barn coverage, medication and feeding routines, property oversight, and temporary staffing support so owners and barn managers can travel knowing capable, experienced people are looking after everything at home.
-

Equine Consulting & Care Coordination
Sometimes what you need most is another experienced perspective.
EECM provides practical guidance and hands-on support with horse purchases and leases, new-horse transitions, care planning, training programs, senior and special-needs horses, barn systems, facility considerations, staffing challenges, and other situations where horse care and barn management overlap.
We can also help coordinate the different professionals involved in a horse’s care so that owners have a clearer picture of what is happening and what comes next.
